Weddings in South Africa are different, exciting, full packages and our team are constantly looking for breathtaking venues because we believe it’s the wedding set up that is remembered for years to come. South Africa has some of the most beautiful regions in the entire world. Our packages include weddings done in a cave at the foot of the mighty Drakensberg mountain, on the sands at some of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, in the bushveld that South Africa is so well known for, in the middle of the stunning Vaal river, combining bush and beach in the Eastern Cape, on winefarms in Cape Town, on top of Table Mountain, on yachts in table bay, in the ever stunning Tsitsikamma forest, country and western themes and many more. The wedding ceremony is set up in the most professional manner and our bridal couples are completely relaxed because everything is taken care of for them. They arrive and have fun. Wedding days are supposed to be fun and we ensure that it’s kept that way. We have a group of ministers throughout South Africa who will do a ceremony based on the couples requirements and needs. If you don’t want a religious ceremony, then you won’t get one. We take care of all documentation even if the couple are from abroad. The South African hosts are probably among the most friendly and caring on the planet and they really go all out to ensure that our bridal couples have the wedding of their dreams.
Island Weddings are still popular and we have spent years perfecting them. The most popular ones are those to Mauritius and to Zanzibar but we do have requests and have arranged weddings for Seychelles, Maldives, Mozambique, Far East, Greece and others. Important to remember that not all of the destinations will take care of legalities and if they don’t, then these need to be taken care of prior to your departure so in essence, it’s just the ceremony that takes place at your chosen destination. Mauritius, Zanzibar and the Seychelles take care of the legalities without a problem but it is highly important that you know and understand that these are done at the registrars offices normally in the capital of the destination and the ceremony a day or two after at your chosen resort or lodge. These marriages are recognised internationally and all you have to do is register with your closest home affairs after your return home. The other destinations, Maldives, Mozambique, Far East and Greece do not take care of legalities. They certainly can be done but it’s a lengthly process and very expensive. For these, we put the ceremony together for you and arrange a professional wedding co ordinator but you would have to take care of the legalities before you leave your country of origin. We can help with a small, romantic set up where you can exchange your vows and receive your marriage certificate which must accompany you.
The Travelling Bride have, through the years, found many little ways in which to save our clients money when we arrange weddings (South Africa or the islands) and always important to give us a “more or less” budget that you have and tell us exactly what you would like included in the budget. This immediately gives us an idea which wedding packages to put forward for your perusal. When thinking about a destination wedding, it is highly recommended that you choose your date within your chosen destinations low season because this is when specials are most likely to pop up. We have co ordinators at every destination that we feature which ensures that our clients are looked after from the time that they arrive until the “I do’s” have been said but it doesn’t stop there. The resort management is made aware of the wedding and if the couple stay longer to enjoy their honeymoon, there is always someone at the resort who will be aware and who will ensure that your every need is met with ease. A Travelling Bride is always looked after by our team and there is a 24 hour contact number given to her so that she has someone to turn to in case of any emergency that may pop up. Our network of co ordinators, ground handlers, hosts and operators ensures that we are able to sort out any problem that may arise at any stage, immediately and efficiently. All of our Travelling Brides are entered into a draw for a free weekend anniversary each year. One per year and the draw is done early in January. The weekend is arranged with all the anniversary extras making your anniversary spectacular and memorable.
